Carveit.ca Part 1

How do you get artwork that looks like this:
To turn into this?:You email it to Jack.Jack Qiao, a Canadian college student has a fantastic one-man show going on in his garage called Carveit.ca. He can take an art file of your logo, family name, monogram, pretty much anything and turn it into a work of dimensional art.

Oh, you don’t have art? No problem. Carveit.ca is an interactive website that is a total blast and so easy to use. I could spend all day playing around with board shapes, type and the zillions of great clip art options. You can type in your own text with lots of font choices, add some art, move it around, size it, change the shape of the board, etc. Upon special request, Jack will carve out a 2d or 3d shape from any soft material, like wood, foam, plastic. If your piece is carved into wood, you have the option of having it shipped unfinished or finished. I requested mine unfinished so I can paint it myself. My custom sign measures 15.5" x 9.75" and will go beautifully in my family room. How perfect is this for a wedding gift painted in the couple’s wedding colors?! Have one made for a Christmas gift, baby’s room, kid’s room, school fundraiser, a sign for your spouse, a sign for your house. You know you need a sign for your next craft show. Even a small table top with a beautiful design that you can cover with glass. Create a frame with custom text all around the edges. Not many limits here.

HERE’S THE BEST PART!
There’s going to be a giveaway!!
Jack will carve one custom wood sign each for two JSIM blog readers! That’s roughly a $75-$100 Carveit.ca gift per winner! And as an added bonus, if you win, I’ll even throw in my design services for an ultra custom piece like the one I designed for my family. So keep an eye on my blog next week for my sign to be painted and the giveaway details and a chance to win! Until then, go play on Carveit.ca and get your holiday orders in now!

Bonus: Jack is also offering 10% rebate on all JSIM readers’ orders if you send a photo of yourself and your sign for use on his website. To claim the rebate, just reply to the order confirmation email with your photo once you receive your sign.

Does Jack from Carveit ship internationally?

Cathe Holden said...

Good question Loddelina, I'll find out. He's at least as international as Canada to the US, that I know!

These remind me of the carved wooden things that families pass down as heirlooms in SW Germany. I think they use them to imprint christmas biscuits (cookies!). Perhaps you could do something similar (although that would be one biiiig cookie!)
