I have a few old watch part cabinets that hold my small craft supplies and found another one at the Alameda Flea Market last weekend for $15. I painted this piece with Rust-oleum American Accents Seaside Green Satin ($3.50), then scuffed just a bit with sandpaper around the edges when dry. I lined the drawers by laying a folded sheet of large ledger paper in them. Here’s the 1/2 hour project before & after!

I have an 'apprentice's chest' that I treasure, and will put it on my blog sometime, but am incapable of looking at something functional and ostensibly 'boring', maybe a bit tatty, and having the vision or skill to turn it into an item of beauty. You can Cathe, right across the board!
